You know, there is nothing better than the warmth of a kitchen to make a house a home. Feeding our husbands and children is one the most basic ways we show them we love them. We provide the necessities of life. Don't take this task lightly! Taking the time to make your child a hearty breakfast will not only provide them a great start for their day, but it will also provide warm memories that they'll want to pass on to their children. You're feeding generations!
Take a piece of bread, butter it on both sides (gets kind of messy), and with the lid of a small mason jar, cut a hole right in the center. Next, crack an egg in a small bowl and beat it well (not exactly like the picture below). Then put the bread on a heated iron skillet and pour the egg in the center. Let it fry a few minutes before flipping it over. Salt and pepper each side. Don't throw away that center piece of bread! Mix a little splenda and cinnamon and sprinkle each side of the circle generously. Then fry it. Throw in a sausage link and a tall glass of ice cold milk and MMMmmm!! Opie will beg for more !

Potluck Ground Beef Casserole
1 pound lean ground beef;
24 oz. can pork and beans;
1 tsp. brown sugar;
1/3 cup BBQ sauce;
1 tsp. onion flakes;
1 can biscuits;
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese:
Preheat oven to 4oo degrees. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain off the fat. Mix the pork and beans, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, and onion flakes with the beef. Place the mixture in an 8x10 inch pan. Divide the biscuits in half, and lay them flat side down around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with the cheese. Bake for about 15 minutes (or until biscuits are golden). Serves 6..Enjoy!
Serve the above with a bunch of fresh green beans, washed and fried in butter with onions. MMM..mmm!! There's some darn good eatin' Aunt Bee! Don't forget a nice apple pie for dessert tonight. Or why not whip up some homemade ice cream out on the front porch? Careful to make enough, 'cause you know Gomer'll be by to say "Hey!"
When you've finished supper, how's 'bout settin' on the porch a while?
